William E. Wiles, 81
William Edward Wiles, 81, of Melbourne, FL, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at the Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, FL.
William (Bill) was born in Dayton, OH on Oct. 18, 1931 to Walter A. and Ruth E. (McGinnis) Wiles. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Dayton, OH, was drafted into the military in 1952 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps at Cherry Point, N.C. He was baptized into the Roman Catholic Church on June 18, 1953 and received his First Holy Communion on June 21, 1953. He married the love of his life, Marcia Lee Filburn, also from Dayton, OH on June 27, 1953. They enjoyed 59 wonderful years together. Bill brought his family to Eau Gallie, FL in July 1961. He was hired at Radiation Inc., which later became Harris Corporation, beginning as a Junior Technician and retiring 30 years later as an Associate Principal Engineer. His passions were playing golf and spending time with his wife and family.
He is survived by his wife Marcia L. Wiles, his 5 children and their spouses ~
Doug (Midori) Wiles, Danny (Debbie) Wiles, David (Jonna) Wiles, Dodie (Nick) Clark, and Deanne (Tom) Carson. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren, with yet another due in March.
Viewing will be held from 10AM to 11:30AM on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Catholic Church at 12PM. Interment with military honors will take place at St. Joseph' Catholic Cemetery in Palm Bay.
