William L. (Bill) Scott, 53 passed away at his home on Monday, April 23, 2012. Born on New Year's Eve in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma he moved to the Miami area a few weeks later and to the Melbourne area in the late 1990's.

Bill was an electrician by trade, a skilled handy man who completed numerous projects, including woodworking, for family and friends, a huge NASCAR fan and great BBQ grill man.

Bill was the best friend, soul-mate and beloved husband of Vickie; proud father to Brandy (Nate), Daniel and Jennifer; even prouder grandpa to Kimmy, Jasmine, Natalie, Destiny and Skylar; brother to Charlotte (Dave), Bob (Annette) and Gene (Rosa); and bestest friend of all to Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ann, his sister Cindy, and his son Jaime.

Bill spent the last 11 years of his life fighting, not the cancer, but the devastating effects of the radiation. He faced each obstacle head-on with dignity and grace. He is finally pain FREE.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 12 East Avenue A, Melbourne. A donation to his wife would be greatly appreciated. The family has chosen Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home to help them through this difficult time.
