William Alexander Ryan, 82, of Satellite Beach, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, from 6-8 pm at the Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Funeral services will be held the following day, September 28, 2019, commencing at 2 pm, also at the Davis Seawinds location.  Father Francis from Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church will lead the service.

Bill Ryan was born "at a very early age" in New York to Rita and Fred Ryan on December 26, 1936. On August 26, 1956, the happiest day of his life, Bill married Sally Weber. They were married for sixty-three years.

Bill graduated with an accounting degree from Rollins College and received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology.  He worked for many years in local government and retired from the City of Cocoa Beach and the City of Satellite Beach.

Bill was a lifetime member or the Knights of Columbus and was involved in several professional associations. He received multiple awards for his government work.

As a young man, Bill excelled in basketball.  Bill was an avid reader, and particularly enjoyed books and movies about history. He was a caring and gentle man who was known for his sense of humor and his devotion to and love for his family.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Rita and Fred Ryan.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife Sally; daughter Laura and her husband Martin, daughters Susan and Eileen, son William; grandchildren Ryan and his wife Kate, Zachary, Lacey and her husband David, Taylor and her husband Ryan; great-grandchildren Wyatt and David; sisters Mary, Sally, Rita and her husband Rod, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
