William Colin Messick, 87, of Melbourne, FL passed away October 7, 2015 at his home.
He was born February 3, 1928 in Lake Wales, FL to the late Arthur and Mertie Lee Messick. He was raised in Dade City, FL and had been a resident of Melbourne since 1974. Colin worked as a watermelon farmer most of his life in Dade City, Sarasota, Indiantown and Naples
He was predeceased by his son, Carlton Leon Messick of Melbourne; siblings, Arthur Frazier Messick of Naples, FL, Merle Messick Cobean of St. Augustine, FL, James Carl Messick of Dade City, Jean Messick Jekabsons of Naples, Franklin David Messick of Trenton, FL, Esther Lee Messick Koert of Naples and significant other, Daisy Worth.
He is survived by his sister, Donna Gail Messick Kaufmann of Lehigh Acres, FL; son, William Colin Messick, Jr. of Dade City and daughter, Pamela Rae Messick Wildes of Palm Bay, FL; 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Heritage Baptist Church with Pastor, Rylan Millett officiating.
