Wayne Douglas Wright went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 25, 2022.

Born July 4th 1960, In Richmond, VA he was the son of the late Paul Daniel Wright and Mabel Lucille Wilson Wright of DeLeon Springs, FL.

Wayne spent his early years in Virginia and the family relocated to South Daytona, Florida in 1965.  He attended Spruce Creek High School where he was active in the motorcycle club.  He loved to fish and spent every weekend fishing at the South Daytona Park or at the ocean.

He was in the U.S. Army and spent time in Germany as the Company Clerk.

Upon his discharge from the military, he relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana where he began his own business in interior carpentry.  Wayne could build anything and was a perfectionist at his work.

Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Darlene Thomas.

In 1997 Wayne, Joshua and Jeremiah relocated to Gainesville and in 2001 to Stuart, FL "the fishing capital of the world" where he could exercise his love of fishing and be near water.  Wayne cherished his two boys.

Survivors include his two sons, Joshua Wayne (Jesse) of King William County, Virginia and Jeremiah Douglas (Tiffany) of Campbellsville, KY.  Wayne is also survived by his long time partner, Janet Crysler of Palm Bay, FL.

Other survivors include his three sisters, Patricia Wright Karl of Gainesville; Cynthia Wright Burlingame (Joseph) of Seabrook, TX; and Angela Wright Grover (Roger) of DeLeon Springs, FL. as well as 7 nephews and nieces.

He will be remembered for his creative gifts in wood; his constant smile and silly snicker and how he never complained.

He was a great brother, wonderful son and will be missed dearly.
