Warren A. Hanft, 95, of Melbourne, FL died Wednesday 26 June 2019.

He was born to the late Anna and Adam Hanft on 18 October 1923 in Carlstadt, NJ. Warren graduated from East Rutherford Highs School in 1941 and studied Electrical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.

He married the late Marion T. Hilger in 1950 and lived in Wayne, NJ and Hampton Bays, NY before settling in Indian Harbour Beach in 1991. Later he married Claudia Taylor who passed in 2001.

Warren was a transmission technician with NJ Bell, retiring in 1984. During World War II he served in the US Navy as a sonar operator on the USS Janssen (DE-396.

Warren was a passionate fishermen and hunter. He was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose, The Elks and The Shriners.

Warren is survived by his children, Wayne Hanft of Lee's Summit, MO and Kevin and Donna Hanft of Basking Ridge, NJ. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jeffrey Hanft of New York City and Lauren Hanft of San Antonio, TX.

A family service will be held later.
