Virginia Louise Buckless born July 26, 1943, to the late Theodore and Florence Buckless, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Virginia and her five older siblings were raised in Barrington, Rhode Island. She graduated from Barrington High School, participated in "The Miss Barrington Pageant" and was voted Miss Congeniality in 1961. Virginia then attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Virginia was an avid equestrian in her younger days, and a lifelong Red Sox fan. She eventually made her way to Central Florida where she enjoyed a long career with the United States Post Office. Virginia loved all animals and supported many animal charities. In retirement, she discovered her natural artistic ability and enjoyed spending her days drawing, painting, and playing with her rescue birds.
Virginia is survived by her siblings, Theodore G. Buckless, Jr. of Blufton, South Carolina, Ronald E. Buckless, Sr. of Palm Bay, Florida, and F. Joyce Patterson of Barrington, Rhode Island. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
