Obituary

How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

-A.A. Milne

On 31 July 2024, we said a tearful goodbye to Colonel Tony S. Lombardo. Tony proudly served in the United States Air Force. He enlisted in 1990, hoping to make a better life for his wife and infant daughter at the time. After 5 years, he was accepted into Officer's Training School. After 30 years, 5 months and 18 days, 19 moves, 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and hundreds of lives touched, Tony retired from the USAF. He has spent the last four years loving life, fishing, renovating a childhood home, fishing, planting a few hundred trees and plants, fishing, and reconnecting with family and friends across the globe. He will be remembered for his humor and passion, easily and noisily going through life like a tornado, happily grabbing hold of those in his path to experience the journey with him.

He leaves behind his wife, Val, daughter Mikaela (husband Tyler), son Andre (wife Alisha; sons Levi and Noah), son Toren (partner Kassidy), sister Angelina (husband Thomas), brother-in law, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, a multitude of cousins, and a world of friendships.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on 28 September 2024 at South Patrick Chapel, 84 Harrier Avenue, Satellite Beach, FL 32927.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

– George S Patton, Jr
