Timothy Allen Zelinski, 75, of Malabar, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Chicago, Illinoise on August 12, 1943 to the late Joseph and Emily Zelinski. After graduating high school he joined the Marine Corp in 1960.

After leaving the Marine Corp. he went into law enforcement. He had a long and successful career as an officer, rescue diver, hostage negotiater and SWAT team member. He received Medal of Valor from Palm Bay Police Dept. in 1986 for hostage negotiating. Tim was one-of-a-kind. He loved life. He had a great sense of humor and a heart warming laugh. He loved the beach, playing Texas hold'em and buying lottery tickets. He loved his family most of all.

Tim is survived by his wife Kelly Zelinski of Malabar; his children Danielle Zelinski of Miami, Katie Zelinski of Palm Bay; his ex-wife and dear friend Rebecca Hodde, of Palm Bay.  He is also survived by two brothers and many extended family members and friends.
