Marvin Smith, 85, passed away on June 7, 2025, at his home in West Melbourne, Florida.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1939, Marvin graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1957. He went on to serve four years in the United States Navy, after which he began a career with RCA, working on the Atlantic Missile Range on Ascension Island and in Pretoria, South Africa. Later, he earned a degree from the University of Florida.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Rosemary Carr Smith, and by his son, Thomas Steven Smith.

He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Brekke, and two grandsons, Thomas and Ryan.

A memorial service to celebrate Marvin's life will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935. All who know and loved Marvin are welcome to attend.
