Thomas John Poole, 41, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Stratford, CT, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Tom was born April 13, 1973 in Arlington, VA to George and Mary Poole. A graduate of Fairfield High School, Tom was a long time resident of Stratford where he worked as an auto mechanic, prior to his recent move to Florida where he worked at Power Treads Auto Shop in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Tom was a devoted family man and belonged to The Catholic Church. His greatest joy in life was his son and best friend, Toby Thomas Poole.

Tom's passions included being an avid fisherman and watching NASCAR. He was known to friends and family as a Kevin Harvick super fan who never missed a race. Tom had a quick wit, and loved to make people laugh.

Tom is survived by his son, Toby; Toby's mother, Kelly Poole, of Stratford; parents, George and Mary Poole of Indialantic, FL; brothers, George (Ivette) Poole, III, of Ft. Myers and Russell Poole of Melbourne, FL, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and nieces & nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903. Tom will be laid to rest at Eau Gallie Cemetery, next to his maternal grandparents, following Saturday's Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Daily Bread Inc., 815 East Fee Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32901.
