Thomas Hajjar, born on April 15, 1956, in Pittsfield, MA, passed away on September 10, 2026, after heroically struggling with an illness. A beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and innovation. 

He was the cherished son of Nelson and Genevieve Hajjar, both of whom predeceased him, alongside his dear sister, Sandra Hajjar Robertson. Thomas's memory lives on in the hearts of his surviving siblings, Jean Hajjar, Joan Hajjar Bartlett, and Robert Hajjar. He also leaves behind his four devoted nephews: Matthew Cormier and his wife Leslie of Pittsfield, Christopher Cormier and his wife Traci of Ware, Erick Bartlett and his partner Alex of Pittsfield, and Trevor Bartlett and his wife Julie of Richmond. His family circle further extends to three grandnieces and three grandnephews who will continue to carry forward his legacy. 

A man of remarkable intellect, Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UMass Lowell in 1978, before advancing to complete his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the same institution in 1984. His quest for knowledge did not end there, as he went on to earn an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1988. With an illustrious career as an Electrical Engineer, Thomas worked with numerous companies, offering his expertise and creativity in product design. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own company, and his talents were recognized internationally as he consulted on programs in both France and Russia. 

Beyond his professional achievements, Thomas was an avid motorcyclist and car enthusiast. His passion for electronics was unparalleled, earning him the affectionate title of an "electronics genius" among his peers. Thomas's life was a testament to his intelligence, strength, and adventurous spirit. His wry wit and movie-star smile could light up any room, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. 

In honor of Thomas's life and legacy, his family invites friends and loved ones to join in a celebration of his life at the Monkey Bar on September 25th at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Thomas's generous spirit and his commitment to making the world a better place. Thomas Hajjar will be deeply missed, but his vibrant spirit and enduring contributions will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
