Thomas A. Brozoskie, 82 of Melbourne, Florida, entered into eternal peace on June 16, 2013. Born and raised in the Anthracite Coal Fields of Pennsylvania, Tom called Shamokin (Springfield) home. He attended Coal Township Schools and worked throughout his youth in the coal mining industry. Upon completion of High School, Tom enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force as a Radar Technician. He served in Japan during the Korean War and his awards include the Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), National Defense Service Medal. Tom attended Penn State University after being discharged and subsequently was employed in the Aerospace/Defense industry for 32 years, with a career culminating as a Senior Telemetry Specialist at Kennedy Space Center. He participated in many of the manned and unmanned launches while working for RCA at the Cape. Some of the more memorable projects he worked on were the Atlas, Mercury, Delta, Saturn, Apollo, and Space Shuttle Programs. Tom was an integral part in the Apollo 11 mission, the first manned mission to the moon. He left behind his wife, Rose L. Brozoskie (Nagy) of 56 years. He raised two children, John J. Brozoskie of Mount Carmel, PA and Rosemary T. Womack of Marion Heights, PA. He has two granddaughters, Jennifer L. Rishel of Danville, PA and Jody L. Sawicki of Pinehurst, NC. He was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Emma and Juliana Sawicki, of Pinehurst, NC and Chloe, Billy and Johnny Rishel of Danville, PA. A brother remains, Bill Brozoskie of Marion Heights, PA. Service and internment arrangements will be announced at a later date. Tom will be interred at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
