IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Ann
Augustino Tomaka
June 17, 1958 – December 28, 2024
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal." –Richard Puz
A devout Christian, Terry's unwavering faith was the foundation of her life. She lived as an example of grace and devotion, inspiring many to deepen their relationship with the Lord. Her compassionate spirit and steadfast dedication to her beliefs touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Terry is survived by Norman, her devoted husband of over 40 years; her son Francis (Frankie); daughter Christina (Nina); daughter-in-law Amy; and Nina's fiancée Sam. She was also the proud grandmother of Adalynn AnnMarie (Adi), affectionately known as the family princess. Terry's family includes her sister Toni (Christopher) Gerkin and her nieces Tammy (Robert) Nicolette and Stephanie (Geoffrey) Lobley.
For over 35 years, Terry dedicated herself to serving special-needs children and their families as a Family-Liaison advocate in Brevard County. Her tireless efforts championed equitable education for children with unique learning abilities. Known for her fiery passion and determination, she stood as a fierce advocate against any barriers that hindered a child's success. Through her work, she created a legacy of love, inclusion, and empowerment that will continue to impact countless families for generations to come.
A funeral service honoring Terry's life will be held at Ascension Catholic Church, located at 2950 N. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, Florida on January 14. The family will receive visitors at 1030 am with services at 11 am.
Terry's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. She is no longer in pain; she moves freely now as an angel resting in the arms of the Lord Jesus. As beautifully expressed in the lyrics of Jewel: "We are God's hands; we are never broken. In the end, only kindness matters." Writer/s: Jewel Kilcher and Patrick Leonard, Warner Chappell Music, Inc., 1998.
Terry will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the light she brought into this world. May her legacy of love and joy bring comfort to all she leaves behind.
