Stella Runelle Florio, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 with her husband and God by her side. Runelle was born December 30th, 1943 to Gladston Auburn and Jennie Alberta Durand in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She later moved to West Melbourne, Florida in 1961 along with her family.

Runelle attended and graduated from Winter Haven Senior High School on June 8, 196 in Polk County, Winter Haven, Florida. She also attended Lee College and traveled to Frankfurt, Germany.

For many years, Runelle worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at Hobbs Electric. She also worked at her church as a secretary as well as helping her husband run his tile business in Sebastian, Florida.

As her parents before her, Runelle loved going to church and was a member of her church for 60 years. She was faithful and a believer in God and his promise. Runelle was a faithful wife to her husband, Angelo, for 43 years.

Runelle is joined in heaven by her parents; Gladston and Alberta (Bertie) Durand, her brother; Terry Durand, and her sister-in-law; Connie Durand. She leaves behind her husband; Angelo Florio, brothers; Randy Durand, Roland (Tine) Durand, Melvin (Linda) Durand, sister-in-law; Diane Durand, step-daughters; Stephanie (Steve) Morressey and  Angela Carey, grandchildren; Jeremy and Aubrey, great grandchildren; Savannah and Ara, nieces and nephews; Keith, Brian, April, Aubree, Daryl, Samantha, Shelly, Carrie, Chad, and great nieces and nephews; Lorryn, Braden, Jackson, Anna, Elliotte, Justin, Stormie, Remington, Max, and Trinity.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on July 22, 2023 at Cornerstone Church of God ( 311 E Hibiscus Blvd Melbourne, Florida 32901).
