Irene Sharon Ruby "Sissy Baker", 68, of Orlando, FL, departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Born and raised in Binghamton, NY, Sissy was the daughter of the late Edward and Louise Brown-Baker. She attended Binghamton schools and was employed by Endicott Johnson. Sissy moved to Orlando, FL in 1980 where she raised her family and owned/operated a day care facility. Sissy loved dogs, her clown collection, and watching her Soaps...but most of all, her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She leaves many wonderful memories to be cherished by her husband, Steve; daughters, Jean Kerr (Fiance, Rick Brown); Cindy Strong (Bill Pierson), Julie Snyder, Jolene Rosa; son, Steve Ruby, II (Roxane Keseler); 8 grandchildren, Kasey and Matthew Kerr, Alyssa Brewer, Shailan, Elijah, Isaiah Rosa, Jaimie Welch (Kevin), Robert Davis, Jr.; 2 great grandchildren, Kadin and Gavin Welch; sisters, Bonnie Baker-Duff (Tom) and Randi Lou Jordan; brothers, Edward Baker (Sherry), Harry Baker (Kelly) and Ted Baker (Christine); several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved uncle, Bill Brown. She will be remembered as the matriarch of our family that truly blessed us with her kind, collective and compassionate soul. Her zany antics and charisma will forever remain in our hearts. Family and friends in Florida will honor her life privately. A memorial service will be held in New York at a later date.
