Shirley Jane Miller, age 84, slipped from sleep into the waiting arms of Jesus Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Her last days were spent surrounded by her family.

Born October 9, 1927, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She moved to Florida in the1950's eventually settling in Melbourne, Florida. She worked for RCA at the Tech Lab at Patrick AFB for 10 years before retiring to raise her family. She went back to work for a short time at Michael's crafts doing what she loved most "crafts".

Survivors include her sister Norma Straub (Walter, Sr.) of Micco, Florida, son, Kenneth Miller, daughter, Diana Tromley, and sons, Larry Miller (Stephanie) and Tim Miller all of Melbourne, Florida. Grandchildren, Angela Trechok (Jim), Cherie Ash (Giles) of Orlando, Florida, Virginia & Audrey Tromley and Sean Miller of Melbourne, Timothy, Jr.& Ashley Miller of North Carolina. Great-grandchildren Richard Grande (Chyna), Kyle Grande, and Michael Szewczyk of Melbourne and one great-great grandchild (Katrina Grande) due in June. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Diana Chase, brother, Kenneth Chase, great-grandchildren Tiffany and Marcie Miller.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am, April 7, 2012 at Eau Gallie First Baptist Church 1501 W. Eau Gallie Blvd., Melbourne, Florida.
