Sheryl Sterrett passed away the evening of May 4th, 2017. She was born at Camp LeJune, NC to Carl and Wenona Swisher in 1952. She is survived most immediately by her daughter, Angela Rates, sister, Charlene Malivolta, and mother, Wenona Martineau.
Sheryl, her parents and younger sister, moved to Florida while she was still in elementary school, and though she lived in several locations around Florida throughout her time here, she was happy to finish her days near the beloved beaches and waterways around Melbourne, FL.
Lover of nature, photography, blues and rock musicteacher of social and historic studies and dedicated counselor of youth, Sheryl is fondly remembered for many things: her complex mind, perspective of the world, and her tenacity toward pursing all it had to offer her.
