Obituary

Sharon Hathaway

Sharon Hathaway of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away suddenly at the age of 84. She was born on November 26, 1941, in Jackson, Michigan, to the late Donald and Helen Ulrich Townsend.

Sharon was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a caring lady in the truest sense of the word. She was the kind of person who never spoke badly of anyone and always saw the good in everyone.

To know Sharon was to be asked how you were doing. She rarely talked about herself, but she genuinely wanted to know about your life and how you were. She listened, she remembered, and she cared. And whenever she did, her beautiful smile was often accompanied by her infectious smile and laughter.

Earlier in life, Sharon shared her caring spirit as a public school teacher in Michigan, touching the lives of many students who were fortunate enough to have her.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lee Hathaway; her daughter, Jill Hendricks, and her husband, Murray, of Yakima, Washington; her sons, Robert Hathaway, and his wife, Melissa, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and David Hathaway of Merritt Island, Florida; and her beloved grandchildren: Robert and Benjamin Hathaway of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Rylee Hendricks of Gresham, Washington; Logan Hendricks of New Braunfels, Texas; Adam Hendricks of Wellington, New Zealand; and Evan Hendricks of Chelan, Washington. She is predeceased by her three beloved brothers. She has many family members throughout the United States.

She was an avid Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and a New England Patriots fan.
