Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Kise was 100 years old and lived in Melbourne (Eau Gallie), Florida. Sarah passed away on November 25th, 2021 surrounded by family at the William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay, Florida.
Sarah was born on August 30, 1921 to Roberta (Birdie) and James Caruthers Paul in Jacksonville, Florida. She immediately brought joy to her parents as the first of three daughters. Sarah was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from McArthur High School. After high school, Sarah worked at the Naval Air Station in Ft. Lauderdale supporting naval fighter pilots during World War II.
Shortly after the war, Sarah vacationed in California with her youngest sister, Mary Ann, at a dude ranch and met the love her life, the late Richard (Dick) M. Kise. The two were inseparable from that point on and were married for over 65 years. Sarah and Richard had six children, Paul, Mary Ann (Dan), Chuck (Karen), Rick, Vivian (Ron) and Jim (Vanessa).
Sarah was a fiercely dedicated mom to all her children. Family came first and was above all else to Sarah, a value that she instilled in all of her children. Sarah dedicated her life to being a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sarah excelled in propping up her family and supporting them in difficult times. Sarah made it her mission to improve the lives of her family.
Sarah and Richard were very honored and proud of being one of the founding families of the Ascension Catholic Church and School.
After her youngest child started school, Sarah reentered the working world. She spent many years as secretary to the priests at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and secretary at St. Joseph's Catholic School. Later, Sarah was employed at Brevard Community College working in the business office and secretary for the Business and Technical Departments. Sarah retired from Brevard Community College and she and Richard traveled the country and purchased a vacation home on the Tennessee River.
Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Richard (Dick) M. Kise, parents Roberta and James Caruthers Paul, and sisters Cecile Meyers and Mary Ann Gillespie. Sarah is survived by her six children and grandchildren, Kristina (Bob) Rygwalski, Kristin Woodling, James Kise, Justin Kise (Megan). Sarah is also survived by her five great-grandchildren, Jackson Kise, Mason Woodling, Austin Woodling, Claire Kise, Brody Kise along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:30am - 11 am followed my a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, Melbourne, FL
