Obituary

Sandra E. Hoch of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away at the age of 69 on September 1, 2025.

Born on February 5, 1956, to Harry and Frances (Grinnell) Eiserman, Sandy graduated from Libertyville High School. She was independent from her youth, enjoying traveling with friends and riding motorcycles. She began her career at Cheshire as a Buyer. Many of the colleagues she met there remained dear friends throughout her life.

After marrying Randy Hoch on May 21, 1983, and becoming a stepmother of three, Sandy liked to say she got all of her kids in one day. In 2000, Sandy and Randy moved to Palm Bay, Florida where she became an Enrolled Agent Tax Advisor and eventually started her own business, Taxes By Hoch.

Sandy was a bright, loving, and vibrant woman who left us far too soon. She made friends everywhere she went. She was the person who remembered everyone's birthday and anniversary, as well as their plans, hopes and worries. She was indispensable to her family, friends, and clients–always there to lend an ear or a helping hand. Her advice and support were a gift to all of those who were lucky enough to be close to her.

Sandy is survived by her children Amanda Pond (Christopher), Tara Hoch Deck (John), and Eric Hoch (Indira); her sister Karen Lenzen (Ken); her brother Paul Eiserman (Amy); her adored grandson Benjamin Pond; her cherished nieces and nephews, including Danielle Garrison (Ryan) of Palm Bay; and many grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. Sandy is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Randy Hoch, her parents, and her sister Vickie Swanson (Harry).

Sandy's loss has left a hole in many hearts. Diagnosed only in early August, the speed with which her rare form of pancreatic cancer took her from us is particularly heartbreaking. She died peacefully at home under hospice care with her family at her side. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy's name to the Lustgarten Foundation or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. A memorial and celebration of life will be announced soon.
