Sandi Cummins, 60, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

Sandi was born in Kyushu, Japan and was adopted by an American couple, bringing her to the United States when she was just a baby.

She continued traveling throughout her life and had been to several countries, including Japan, Austria, Hungry, Turkey, Canada and lived in several States including Kansas, Hawaii, Ohio, Georgia, Indiana, and Michigan; however her favorite place that she always found her way back to was Melbourne, Florida.

Sandi was very passionate about her work drafting projects for several different companies in the aerospace field including Harris, Boeing and Northrop Grumman. She was also a wonderful homemaker with an impeccable eye for decorating the homes she lived in throughout her life and had an innate ability for cooking. Sandi loved cats and often volunteered at local animal rescues and shelters.

She loved music and was very fond of Bob Dylan, often playing his songs and reciting his lyrics. She gave birth to four children; three sons and a daughter, all of whom she loved with her whole heart.

Sandi is survived by her sons Alex Thorpe, of Satellite Beach, FL, James Willey of Plymouth, MI and her daughter, Payton Willey of Muskegon, MI. She is also survived by two granddaughters Emilie and Hayleigh.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd at 3 p.m. at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home.
