Ryan William Cadle 10/13/1998-12/27/2014
Ryan Cadle, a student and life-long resident of Brevard County,FL, passed away on December 27, 2014 at the age of 16.
Ryan was the middle of five children. He is survived by his mother, Diane Cadle Hasling, and his father, Brent Allen Cadle; his sister, Brianna Traver, and brothers, Eric Cadle, Justin Cadle and Christopher Cadle; and his grandparents, Bruce and Valerie Cadle and Eileen Coffey.
From the very beginning Ryan was a true middle child. I don't want to say he was difficult, but before he was born we were told that he might have Down Syndrome, which didn't happen. When he was born his umbilical cord was tied in a perfect knot. When he was just over a year old he stepped under a recliner chair and got a hairline fracture to his leg. This was his first cast. You can imagine the stares from people in the grocery store. Years later he reached down into a bike chain while he was riding. That resulted
in emergency surgery to his finger and cast #2--which was pink. He dropped a penny in that cast which started to erode his skin, that led to cast #3. He once poked his eye into a peg hook in the garage. He
got shot in the arm with a BB gun at point blank range. He always recovered--always providing good war stories.
When Ryan's younger brother, Justin, was born I was so concerned with how Ryan would react. I couldn't have been more wrong. Ryan was so caring and so protective of Justin and later of Chris. Ryan had a true sense of compassion and caring for those around him. He was extremely thoughtful and polite.
Some of Ryan's loves through the years were playing the drums, gardening, Mixed Martial Arts, chicken wings, hot sauce and, most recently, his dog Simba and girlfriend Courtney. Through difficult times he always loved his mother, father, sister and brothers.
Ryan always asked a lot of questions. He had an interest in how things worked and why. He liked to know the plan, for the day, the week... His passing has created a lot of questions. Sometimes it seems like there aren't any good answers. In the Bible, there are many verses on pain and suffering and people crying out "Why Lord?".
This verse is so familiar and yet simply explains the extent of God's love and intentions for us: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him" (john 3:16-17).
I love you, Ryan, and you will always be forever in my heart and mind.
