Obituary

Ronald (Ron) Paul Sauerwine, 80, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on January 22, 2025.

Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of (the late) Paul and Dorothy Sauerwine.

He served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a business owner who proudly served his community.

He was a member of The American Legion Post 163 and the V.F.W. He loved to play bingo and buy scratch off tickets. He enjoyed watching westerns of any kind, especially Gunsmoke.

He will be remembered for always telling a (dirty) jokes, war stories, and reminiscing about being a teenager at the Bonanza.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Helen, his sister (Beverly), 1 grandson and 1 great grandson. He is survived by his children Eugene, Vicky (Don), Billy (Christa) and Jackie (Mike). He was Pappy to Paul, Dean, Michelle, Elizabeth (Mike), Amanda, Dawn (Shane), Amber (Brittanie), Courtney, Ronnie (Brittany), and Heather, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Bill and many nieces, nephews, and family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, located at 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935.
