Ronald Edward Rafferty Sr, age 61

Ron was born in Baltimore, MD to Richard, and Emily Rafferty. He is survived by two siblings, Karen Kinsel, and Richard Rafferty Jr. The Rafferty family moved to Brevard County, FL in 1959. There, Ron graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1971. Shortly after, he married and began his family. He worked hard in construction for 25 years then retrained as a machinist and worked for Bryant's Precision Manufacturing Corp for 23 years.

He was "Daddy" to Lynn Rafferty, Ronald Rafferty Jr., Jeremy Shaw (Ashley), Brenda Bell (Tommy), and Richard Rafferty. He was "Papaw" to Christian, Courtney, Ethan, Chloe, Emma, Landon, and Angel. He was loved by many including dear friend Sondra Jamieson, many nieces, and one nephew. Ron had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could. Everyone he loved was considered family, and all who knew him loved him.

A celebration of his life will commence at 2 p.m. on Sat. Oct. 26, 2013 at Long Point Park; 700 Longpoint Rd Melbourne Beach, FL 32951. All who knew and loved him are welcome. NO BLACK ATTIRE, this is a celebration.
