Ronald Wayne Hill, 83, of Palm Bay, died peacefully on January 12th, 2019 with family by his side. He was born to the late William and Gladys Hill in New Castle Pennsylvania.  Ron graduated from Clairton High School in 1952 and served in the United States Army with tours in Austria and Germany from 1954-1956. He graduated with a teacher's degree from the California State Teachers College in 1962 and began his teaching career in 1963 in Lorain, Ohio and continued as a middle school teacher in Ocala, FL until his retirement in 2002.

In addition to his various DIY projects, Ron loved the game of golf, modeling his golf swing after Ben Hogan and was ready to give instruction on how to swing a club, ever the educator.  He was always ready to tell a story and was an avid pool player and auto mechanic who enjoyed the process of restoring classic Mopar cars. A favorite pastime was listening to music, especially Sinatra and dancing and taking timeshare vacations with his wife. He also enjoyed painting in his later years as he fought cancer.

Ron is survived by his lovely wife Martha Scripko Hill, whom he knew for over 60 years, recently celebrating 59 years of marriage.  He leaves behind three daughters: Diane (Paul) Rumbley, Karen (Erik) Axsom, and Paula J. Hunt; as well as six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A private family viewing and memorial service will be held at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be sent either to the Greater Palm Bay Senior Center where he loved to play pool, or the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, where he was comforted by the compassionate staff.
