Ronald Stephen Ault's Obituary
Ronald S. Ault, 87, of Titusville, FL passed away peacefully on October 27, 2015 with his family by his side.
He was born February 26, 1928 in East Palestine, OH to the late Stephen Brown Ault and Ida Fern Mollenkopf. Ronald graduated from Boardman High School in 1946. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce, having served four years in combat during the Korean Conflict. He later married the former Nancy Lee Barber on June 12, 1953.
Mr. Ault was a lifelong enthusiastic car buff as well as a successful car salesman. He was often recognized for achieving top sales at dealerships in Youngstown, OH. His passion for cars reached its peak when he restored a 1956 Jaguar XK 140.
He was also an avid and self-taught photographer. In the mid 1950's he began shooting wedding and portrait photography. Later in life he resumed his passion and developed a successful camera sales and repair business. He was a familiar face up and down the east coast of Florida from Daytona to Miami where he dealt with camera stores and private customers. His reputation as a fair and knowledgeable resource for camera enthusiasts was well known. The digital camera took over the photography world in the 2000s, to which he responded by teaching himself to repair clocks and watches as his father had done during the Great Depression.
Mr. Ault leaves his memories to be cherished by his children, Linda Ault (John) Halverson of Melbourne, FL, Stephen Ault of Atlanta, GA, Raymond (Carol) Ault of Denver, CO, Phillip Ault of Boardman, OH, Brenda Campbell (Robert) Hanley of Copperopolis, CA, Scott (Michelle) Campbell of Malabar, FL, Andy Campbell of Athens, OH, Mark Ault of Austin, TX and Alan Ault of Titusville, FL; brothers, Wayne Ault of Woodworth, OH and Glenn (Donna) Ault of Seattle, WA; sister, Joan (Lynn) Slagle of Metairie, LA; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Frank Ault and his second wife, Jeanne Ruth Campbell.
