IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Romano
Schreiber
January 8, 1953 – April 2, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Romano "Mano" Schreiber, 73 years of age, on April 2nd, 2025, in Melbourne, FL, formerly of the North End of Boston.
He was born in the North End of Boston on Endicott Street and quickly fell in love with the Catholic Italian festivals that are devoutly celebrated each summer on the streets of Boston. He served as a member of the Fisherman's, St. Agrippina's, and St. Anthony's societies, taking on leadership roles within each and often being found marshaling the processions around the streets. He was the proud owner of the North End Marching Band of Boston, MA, which he formed with his cousin over 20 years ago. His love for sports, especially the New York Yankees, shaped who he was and led to his work as a boxing promoter. One of his happiest family occasions was celebrating Christmas Eve with all the kids and helping prepare the Italian feast of the 7 fishes for his family.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Marsha Schreiber. He is survived by his two daughters, Joy (Alex) Underwood of Hopkinton, NH, and Helen (Joe) Cardello of Viera, FL; his loving sister, Rita (Dwayne) Ducommun; the eight joys of his life—his grandchildren: Joseph, Steven, Victoria, Paul, Jake, Bekah, Charlotte, and Ava; and many other cousins and friends.
Mano also got to see his granddaughter, Bekah, get engaged days before his passing.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 31st, at 10:00 AM at St. Stephen's Church in the North End of Boston, 401 Hanover St, Boston, MA 02109. Anyone wishing to send a message to the family or share a story is invited to visit Mano's memorial page at www.davisseawinds.com .
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Romano "Mano" Schreiber to the Fisherman's Society of the North End, 11 Lewis St, Boston, MA 02109.
