Romaine (Roy) Francis Goodhue, 95, of West Melbourne, FL, passed away Saturday November 30, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.

He was born to the late Donald and Eileen S. Goodhue on June 17, 1924 in Worcester, MA. Roy was one of three children. He is preceded in death by his brothers Richard Goodhue and William Goodhue, both of Worcester, MA.

Roy graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School in 1943 and entered the Navy working as a machinist mate. He spent time with the Worcester Fire Department and worked as a bartender for a time. Roy married Leah Pignone on November 2, 1953 in Worcester, MA. They moved to Florida shortly thereafter where they raised their three children. While in Florida, Roy worked at RCA on Patrick Air Force Base designing for the Missile Test Program for over twenty years. After retirement he spent time as a Walmart greeter. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, while she played the organ or when they attended musical performances at Fletcher's Music Store. He was also an avid UNO player and loved a lively game with many family members.

Roy is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Leah (Pignone) Goodhue. Roy is survived by his children Robert Goodhue, of Palm Bay, FL; Michael (Joanna) Goodhue, of Harmony, FL; and Kimberly Goodhue, of Palm Bay, FL. Roy was a devoted and loving grandfather to his grandchildren Robert Morin, Christine Bordelon, Alexis Kirkman, Alison Goodhue, Patrick Fucci, and Logan Goodhue.

Funeral services will be held at a later date and will be private.
