IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert C.
Wittig
May 29, 1941 – December 26, 2023
Robert Carl Wittig, 82 of West Melbourne, formerly of Old Bridge, NJ and Richboro, PA passed away after a brief illness.
He is survived by his five children: Lisa Haagen (Gregory) of New Hampshire, Melissa Gordon (Michael) of West Melbourne, Mark (Jodi) of Wyoming, Carl (Bernadette) of New Jersey, and Carol Pletcher (Hammond) of Pennsylvania, as well as six grandchildren: Samantha, Max and August Wittig; his namesake, Robert Wittig; Matthew, and Abigail Gordon. Robert was preceded in death by his adored wife, Dorothy.
In his work life, Bob was employed in the Pipe and Tubing industry. The bulk of his career was with Tioga Pipe Supply, Philadelphia, from which he retired in 1999. In later years he enjoyed working at Bass Pro Shop in Palm Bay.
Spending time with family was a highlight for Bob. He took pleasure visiting the beach, was an avid poker player and a terrible golfer. Although not gifted with a melodic voice Bob, unfortunately for others, loved to sing. Bob became a good cook in recent
years and hosted weekly dinners for his family who lived locally. He was a parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church and served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 North Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne.
