Robert "Bob" R. Runte

Robert R. Runte (Bob) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 1, 2021 in Melbourne, FL. Bob was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 6, 1931 to Clarence and Anna Runte. Bob was one of five children, including Marilyn, Jack, Nancy, and Charlene. Bob grew up in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from Catholic University of America. After his schooling, Bob quickly became an entrepreneur and created numerous successful businesses in Milwaukee, WI. In 1980, Bob moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL where he met the love of his life Patricia. It was love at first sight, and the two were inseparable from that moment forward. Bob and Patti just recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Bob and Patti had three sons Ryan, Corey, and Casey Runte while living in south Florida. In 2000, the family moved to Melbourne, FL.
Bob loved his wife, children, and grandchildren dearly. He loved watching his children grow up playing sports and was the Dad who never missed a single game. He was an extremely hard worker, having worked until he was 82 years old to provide for his family. Bob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so many. In his 90 years of life he touched so many people, leaving so many lasting memories. He was a holy man, having taught his children strong morals and ethics. He will leave a legacy behind that will never be forgotten.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sons, Ryan (Tyler), Corey (Krista), Casey, and Michael (Maria); his grandchildren, Finley, Beckett, Stephanie, and Michael; his siblings, Charlene (Calman) and Jack (Ora).
Friends and Family are invited to celebrate Bob's life at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL. A mass service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00am.
