Bob went home to the Lord on September 28, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Clearfield, PA on May 13, 1940. He was the son of Marshall A. Jay and Evelyn (Owens) Jay. He married Donna (Moyer) Jay in 1959.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Melbourne FL, son Jeffrey (Julie) Jay of North Las Vegas NV, daughter Jennifer Henderson of Melbourne FL, sister Patricia Rodgers of Clearfield PA, sister Marsha (Melvin) McCracken of Clearfield PA, Cousin Kenneth (Clare) Jay of Vero Beach FL. He has nine grandchildren, seven great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and eldest son Michael who passed away August 27, 2021.

He attended Indian River City UMC in Titusville until his illness. He was a man of strong faith and leaned on Jeremiah 29.11 throughout his long illness. He will be resting at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL where his son is.
