Robert F. Floyd, 72, of Merritt island, FL and formerly of Memphis, TN passed away
Friday, June 15, 2012 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Suzanne Floyd of Merritt Island; three children- Richard Floyd of Alabama and Keith Floyd and Shanna Lee of Memphis; three stepchildren: Randy Crowe and Angela Braddox of Memphis and Michael Crowe of Merritt Island;
six grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He also leaves four sisters, Beatrice Wright of Drummonds, Tn., Linda Wroughton of Millington, Tn., Katherine White of Merritt Island, Fl. and Dorothy Langston of Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fee and Myrtle Floyd, two brothers and two sisters.
He was a retired truck driver, business owner, and musician. He was known throughout Memphis for many years for the music he sang and dearly loved.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
