Robert P. Filliger, 78, passed away on May 30, 2016. Born in Jamaica, Queens, NY, son of the late Robert and Ella May (Kozinski) Filliger. He was the beloved father of Barbara (Dr. Robert) Udell, Robert P. Fillger II, Doreen (Edward) Conley, loving grandfather of Chase Shrum, Patrick Filliger, Robert P. Filliger III, great-grandfather of Hunter and Bo Filliger. He leaves the mother of his children, Annabell (Williams) Filliger. He was preceded in death by Penelope Seaman.
He was a construction foreman, member of Local 1685, supervising projects at the Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach, the former Glass Bank, in Cocoa Beach, and many Patrick Air Force Base Projects. His greatest joys in life were the simple things such as riding his motorcycle, his family, and his beloved dogs. He was a Colonel in the Honorable Kentucky Colonels, Lifetime Member of the Scottish Rite, 57 years in Grand Lodge of Masons, member of the Veterans of Foreign War, and the American Legion.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, June 3, 2016 at the DAVIS SEAWINDS Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Avenue, Melbourne from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 4th at 11:00am in the chapel followed by burial at Eau Gallie Cemetery.
