Robert J. Cotron, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. He was born on September 5, 1927 in Greenwich, CT to the late Frederick and Mary (Byrnes) Cotron.
After honorably serving in the Marines Corps, he relocated to Brevard County in 1947 and joined the Sheriffs Dept., becoming the Chief of Police of Eau Gallie and later retiring as the Chief of Police of Melbourne.
Robert is survived by his beloved family; son, Alan Cotron; daughter, Shelley and husband, Michael Drake; sister, Elinor Burns and his adoring grandchildren, Tessa, Rachel and Brandon.
He was predeceased by his cherished wife of 34 years, Christine (Conner) Cotron.
Family will greet friends from 10AM to 11AM on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Davis - Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne with a memorial service to follow at 11AM
