Obituary

Robert Lewis Chaney "Bob", age 72, of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023 surrounded by family. Bob was born July 03, 1950 in Englewood, New Jersey to parents Mitchell Trimm and Alice (Wilcox) Trimm. He married the love of his life Sandra (Bolen) Chaney June 30, 1980 and after many cross country moves they settled permanently in Melbourne, Florida in 2008.

Bob was blessed with two incredible careers that he loved dearly.  He was a Retired Veteran having served honorably in the United States Navy for 28 years, achieving the rank of Chief. During his years of service, he was an aviation machinist mate maintaining F14s, P3s, and helicopters. After his Naval career he worked in the Power Industry as a Computer Engineer, Contract Performance Manager, and Resource Manager.  He retired from FieldCore in May of 2022.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Sandra Chaney, daughter Tara (William) Dahmke, and grandchildren Grace Kennedy and Jack Kennedy, all of Melbourne, Florida.

Funeral Services for Bob will be held Friday, February 24, 2023. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32935, followed by a memorial service at 3:00pm.
