Rick Martin, 60, of South Patrick Shores, Florida, passed away on March 20, 2018.

He was born to the late James and Mary Ann Martin on September 28, 1958 in Melbourne, Florida. Rick graduated from Bartlett High School, and then went on to the University of Alaska, Anchorage, to get his Associate Degree.

Rick started working at RCA Alascom as a long distance operator. He was accepted into the technician training program and eventually worked as a technician in Nome, Unalaska, and Anchorage. He retired from AT&T Alascom.

He is survived by his sisters, Lynne Helsel and Robyn Martin both of Melbourne, FL; niece, Rachel Martin, Melbourne FL; aunt, Kay McClintock, Scranton,PA; stepchildren, Tyler Phillips (Gina), Rebecca Phillips, Dylan Phillips, step-grandchild Lilith Phillips and various cousins.

The family is asking that donations be made out to the American Cancer Society.
