Richard Vanderbilt died peacefully at his home Tuesday evening, November 5, 2013. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1973.
Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia; they had 4 children, Patsy, Jimmy (Marianne), Lolly (Buddy) and Bethy. He has 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Richard as a WWII and Korean War Vet. Richard and Patricia also took in 15 children in need of temporary care and they were very active in the pro-life movement.
Funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 9th, at 11:30 am at Ascension Catholic Church on US1, Melbourne, Florida.
