Richard A. Robinson, 84 of Melbourne Florida, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023 with his family by his side.

He was born to the late Frederick Robinson and Dorothy Robinson Biggie in April of 1938, in Ballston Spa, New York. Richard graduated from Ballston Spa High School in 1957 and received a degree in Physics from Clarkson Memorial College in 1961.

Richard married Catherine A. Ackerbauer in 1964, and they have two children, Rob Robinson of Melbourne, FL and Rebecca (Robert) Hester of Chuluota, FL. He is survived by his 3 grandchildren, Tymothy Robinson, Andrew Hester and Rachel Hester. He is also survived by his half-sister, Starr (Kim) Reilly of Saratoga NY.

Mr. Robinson w as employed initially as a Display Systems Engineer at Rome Air Development and later as an Information Systems Specialist to develop a programming support environment for command and control applications. The work was done in connection with ARPA and the Undersecretary of Defense. He later transferred to Florida and took a job with Harris Corporation and later with McDonnell Aerospace Corporation at Kennedy Space Center.

A c elebration of Richard's l ife will be held on Friday, April 7th at 3:00pm at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne, Florida.
