Richard Leo Ransome of Satellite Beach, Florida passed away on May the 5 ^th , 2021 with family by his side.

Richard was born in, Ohio to parents Betty Jane Ransome and Ben Ransome.  He graduated from Richwood High School and attended college in Chicago.

He was married to Connie Sue Cameron in 1969. Richard and Connie lived in Moncks Corner, SC until 2002 and then moved to a beachside condo in Satellite Beach, Florida.  Richard was pre-deceased by his wife, Connie.

Richard served in the US Navy for 9 years and retired from the SC State Ports Authority in March of 2002.  Richard also served on the Melbourne Men's Golf Association as Treasurer until his passing.  Richard loved spending time with his two children and three grandchildren and enjoyed many rounds of golf in his retirement years.

He is survived by his two sons, Brad and Shannon Ransome of Raleigh, NC and North Charleston, SC, respectively: daughter-in-law, Heather and grandchildren, Keenan Richard, Cameron August and Claire Elizabeth.  Richard is also survived by his brother and two sisters, Steve Ransome, and his wife Jackie, Joyce Roar, and Lori Jane Phillips: all of Ohio. Richard was predeceased by his brother, Walter.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 11 ^th at 3:00 pm.  The address is 560 Montreal Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32935.
