Richard Ray (Rick) Pauley was born to Lorena Mabel Pauley on January 3, 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was an only child. He has Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins in West Virginia. Rick resided in Ft. Pierce, Florida at the time of his departure.

He was well respected in the construction field and had many friends as a result. He shared and remembered stories from the job that will not be forgotten by family or friends. Even though he had to retire, due to his health, he always longed to be back on the job.

Richard lost his battle with Lung Cancer on July 25, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Florida. He leaves to cherish his memory; His Loving Wife; Sharon Sue Brown of Ft. Pierce, Florida, daughter; Jennifer Pauley Chavez and family of Spindale, North Carolina, Son; Christopher Ray Pauley and family of Sebastian, Florida, daughter; Jessica Lynne Pauley of Lake Lure, North Carolina, Son; Aaron Brown and family of Vero Bch, Florida and Terrence Brown and family of Sebastian, Florida; Mother-in-Law Emogene DeWees of Ft. Pierce Florida, and Brothers-in-Law; Keith, Kevin and Kenneth Dewees. Also left to cherish his memory are special friends Ron and Jan Sharpe of Palm Bay, Florida and their son (Rick's godson) Todd Sharpe and family of Melbourne, Florida. Rick leaves behind a host of friends, neighbors and relatives who will truly miss him. He was a loving husband, a caring father and a true friend and he will be truly missed by all who loved him.
