Richard Robert Hutcheon, 87, passed away on February 22, 2014 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, FL. He was born in Brockton, MA. On February 3, 1927 and lived in FL for 28 years before moving from Elliot Maine.
After serving 4 years in the Navy during the 2nd World War, he founded Hutcheon Flowers in MA. Before his retirement, he was a long time employee of Creative Design of Boston, MA.
Richard served as past president of Abington Lions Club and was an active member of the Barefoot Bay Lions Club and the Palm Bay Lions Club in FL.
He will be sadly missed by his friends at the Palm Bay Am Vets and the American Legion Post 117.
He is the husband of the late Dorothy Mae Hutcheon.
He is survived by his Sons; Robert M. Doherty of Halifax, MA, Kenneth R. Wass of Falmouth, MA, Steven Berthume of Elliot Maine, and Daughter Katherine Mitchell of Slidell, LA, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
