Melbourne

Richard Waldo Dennison, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Melbourne, FL. Born in Penn Yan, NY on October 7, 1930 Richard was the beloved child of the late Arthur and Gertrude Pitcher-Dennison. He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Richard had a wonderful sense of humor and was considered to be the "Brookshire Flirt". He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later married the love of his life, Marjorie Hunt on November 29, 1958. Following his retirement from Matrix, Rochester, NY, they relocated to the beautiful sunshine state in 1996. Richard appreciated the warmer climate and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts. Richard leaves precious memories to be cherished by his wife, Marjorie; son, Chuck; daughter, Debbie Zdimal (John); grandchildren, Johnny, Amanda and Adam; a very dear cousin, Donna Enser (Ed); brother-in-law, Dr. Carl E. Hunt (Joyce); niece, Cindy Holz (Eric) and nephew, Chris Mack. He was predeceased by his brother, James H. Dennison and a sister, Hazel Curran. Family and friends will celebrate and honor Richard's life at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 27th at the Joy Lutheran Church in Palm Bay, FL.
