Bradley
July 7, 1948 – November 27, 2021
Richard Allen Bradley, 73, of Melbourne, died Saturday, November 27, 2021 with his family by his side. Richard was the youngest of seven children born to the late Cecil K and Mildred Bradley on July 7, 1948 in Lakeland, Fl.
Richard grew up in Melbourne and worked in construction doing carpentry and roofing work. He also worked a few years in Texas as an iron worker.
Richard loved many things in life; his real love was air boating and fishing; he also had a love for cooking and smoking foods. For the past 5 years he would watch the Food Network and unsuccessfully try to recreate the dishes. He also had a green thumb for gardening. He planted collards, okra, tomatoes, green peppers and many other vegetables.
Richard was predeceased by his sons David Bradley and Andrew Bradley, brother Thomas Bradley, sisters Shirley Oha and Brenda Walsh.
Richard is remembered with love by his loving wife Lois of 36 years, his son James "Jay" Bradley, nephew Bobby McCracken (Wendy), who was more like a son, daughter Cindy Bradley (Ed), son Sam "Bo" Lusk, grandson Dalton Bradley, granddaughter Jamie Bradley, granddaughter Samantha Carter (Tyler), grandson Shayne Kinney, great granddaughter Layla Carter, great grandson Jayce Carter, brother Cecil Bradley, sisters Sonja Forrester and Cecelia Gore (Roger) and many nieces and nephews.
Wherever Richard went he made friends and a lasting impression due to his quick wit and stories of the past. Everyone who knew him knew that he was a true Florida cracker. He always said that he had a great life with the best family and friends that anyone could have had. His passing leaves a void for all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Celebration of Life for Richard Bradley will begin at 1:00PM on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Camp Holly in West Melbourne.
