Obituary

Reata Kay Ball Thompson Dawson, 86 of Melbourne FL, went to heaven on 9/3/2020. She was born in Lancaster, NH on 12/17/1933 to Lawrence E. Ball and Sylvia M. White. The family lived in Lunenburg, VT.
Kay married the late (1995) Joseph N Thompson on 2/12/1953. They lived in Walpole and Charlestown, NH where they raised their 3 children. Kay was a stay at home mom until her children were out of school and then she went on to get her LPN license working with the elderly.
In December 2003 she married the late (2013) Malcolm Dawson. They lived in Charlestown, NH and relocated to Melbourne, Fl in 2009.
Kay is survived by her twin sister, Reita Fay Lane, of Melbourne, Florida and by her three children, Denise (Paul), Smith of Enfield Center, NH, Dennis of Charlestown, NH and Debra Collins of Canaan, NH. She is survived by 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Ashlea and Adam and 3 great grandchildren, Josie, Damian and Leah.
Kay was very active in her Lamplighter Community and could be found playing cards, bingo, mini golf etc.  She was an active member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Melbourne, FL. Kay will be remembered for her love for her family and friends as well as her sense of humor which she held on to until the end.  She wanted people to remember her as a Christian person.
