Raymond C Otten,75, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of South Bethlehem, NY, passed on July 22, 2023, with his wife of 56 years, Fran, by his side.

The son of Marion (VanAlstyne) Kudlack and the late Charles E Otten, Ray began his life in South Bethlehem, NY, joining the US Navy after graduation from R.C.S. HS.  After serving his country, he returned to his home town with his family, during which time, he also served as a volunteer with Selkirk Fire Co. #3 until moving to Florida.

Ultimately settling in Palm Bay, FL, Ray worked for MacAsphalt and retired from A.P.A.C as Paving Superintendent.  Throughout his life and into retirement, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid NHRA Drag Racing Fan.  His children and grandchildren loved to listen to his stories about life and to hear his infectious laugh.  Rays greatest joys in life where his family and friends.

Raymond is predeceased by his father, Charles E Otten and his sister, Marion (Otten) Dudley.

In addition to his mother, Marion (VanAlstyne) Kudlack and his wife, Frances (Bushie) Otten, Ray is also survived by his children Corey Otten, William Otten(Destiny), and David Otten; grandchildren Megan, Joey(Cristella), Catherine, Morgan(German), Hannah(Dalton), Juliah, Daxx, Maddie, Justin; great grandchildren Julio, Callie, Nick, Vanessa, Ethan, Gabe, Aaliyah, Lorenzo; sisters Sharon Dinelle, Patty Otten; brothers Charles Otten(Annie), Donald Otten(Pam); brothers and sisters in law John Bushie, Jess Bushie(Marie), Bonnie Topliffe(Denis) and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 1:30-3:00pm with a service to begin at 3:00pm at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, Melbourne, FL.  Interment at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
