Obituary

In Loving Memory of Raymond Gordon "Frenchy" Boutilier

Raymond Gordon Boutilier, affectionately known to all as "Frenchy"—a nickname earned during his proud service in the Marines—passed away on April 14, 2026. He was a man of unwavering integrity, quick wit, and a legendary sense of humor.

A Legacy of Service

Frenchy was a patriot to his core, dedicating over 20 years of service to his country. He served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, including two tours in Vietnam. His commitment to the uniform continued through his career in the United States Air Force, from which he eventually retired. Once a Marine, always a Marine, he carried the discipline and honor of the service with him every day of his life.

Character and Family

A gifted athlete and avid golfer, Frenchy was a man of action over words. He expressed his love by being the steady rock his family could always depend on—ensuring they always had a reliable car and a safe home.

He is survived by his first-born daughter, Michelle Boutilier, and her children, Christine Chandler and Joshua Long; and his second daughter, Natalie A. Boutilier, and her children, Marianna Taitt and Theresa Carroll. He is also survived by his granddaughter Amy (Eric) Gagnon. His legacy continues through his nine great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his integrity, his "secret growls," and the quiet, reliable strength he provided to those he loved.

The family will be celebrating his life with family remembrances and military honors at 11 AM, Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne, Florida.
