Ray L. Cochran, 89 years of age, lived at 4411 Twin Lakes Drive, Melbourne FL 32934.
Ray's soul passed on to heaven on Friday, Oct 21, 2016 while resting peacefully at William Childs Hospice in Palm Bay FL.
He was born in Templeton, PA in 1927 and was married to Joan Cochran in 1948. Ray is survived by four children - Allan Cochran of Albuquerque NM, Jackie Thompson of Denver CO, Stephen Cochran of Freeport PA and Daniel Cochran of Jessup MD. Ray is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Ray served honorably in World War II. He was a proud Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. One of his most memorable experiences was participating in the Honor Flight to the Washington Memorial with 25 surviving WW II veterans.
The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Nov 4th at 3:00 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 2800 W Eau Gallie in Melbourne. Dinner will be served following the service at the Twin Lakes Clubhouse.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to William Childs Hospice House, 381 MedPlex Parkway, Palm Bay FL 32907.
