Rachel Nancy Schaefer, 71, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at her home. Born in Greenville, S.C., daughter of the late Thomas J. and Fannie Mae (Thompson) Bartram.She was beloved mother of Dennis (Tracey) Cowart, Debra(Jeffery) N. Roark, Gerald (Veronica) Cowart, Lisa L. (Stephen) Charpentier, and Tara (James) Holliday. She was the beloved grandmother of Denny, Dennis, Nichole, Dustin, Alisa, Brandi, Devin, Kaley, and Jamey, great-grandmother of, Maci, Teagan, Aubrey, Bentley, and Kylie. Rachel, known to her friends as, Nancy, was a longtime member of Eau Gallie First Baptist Church and a Meals on Wheels provider. She had been a longtime employee at Publix working in the meat department retiring from the Suntree store. She enjoyed searching for antiques collecting many treasures over the years. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday January 29, 2016 from 10:30-11:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am at the Eau Gallie Baptist Church, 1501 West Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32935 Donations in her memory may be made to the church.
