Rachel Lefebvre of Indialantic, Florida passed away on December 3rd 2016 at the age of 43, after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer.

She was born to Pierre Lefebvre and Lise Pageot in Quebec City on July 4th 1973. At a young age she was already set on becoming a Psychologist. Rachel graduated from Laval University with a Master in Psychology and received a Ph.D. from Concordia University. Post-Doctoral Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School Psychoanalytic Center, Rachel practiced at Baytree Behavioral Health in Melbourne, Florida.

Her outlook on life was never just about herself even after being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 40. Her life involved close ties to her husband and also her two sons, her parents, siblings and many friends, and she was still actively helping her patients in their own efforts to understand and create better lives for themselves, as recently as a few weeks ago.

Rachel was a warm, intelligent, funny, wise, resilient, gutsy, generous and down-to-earth caring person.

She leaves in grief her dear husband Frdric Gouin and her two beloved sons, Pierre-Olivier and Sbastien, her mother Lise Pageot, her father Pierre, her brother Manic (Linda Meli), her sister Julie (Stphane Brochu), her in-laws Louise Perrin and Jean-Pierre Gouin, her sister in-law Caroline, as well as her aunts and uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous colleagues and great friends.

A calling of family and friends will be held Saturday December 10th from 10 to 10:30 at the Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:30 AM. A service and burial will be held in Quebec City at a later date.
